Fresh Baked Pie News

We are opening the first My Sugar Pie location at the end of summer!

Saturday, April 23rd, 2011

Watch our website for progress updates and news about our grand opening at 40 East Pine Street, Zionsville, IN. It’s just around the corner from where we got our start at the Zionsville Farmer’s Market.

New Beginning for Zionsville Farmer’s Market

Mark your calendars for the earlier opening of this year’s Zionsville Farmer’s Market. It opens May 14 and runs every Saturday from 8-11 am until September 24. We are excited to catch up with our regular customers again and meet brand new ones.

New Locations to get My Sugar Pie

My Sugar Pie is now available by the slice at St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis, at Harry & Izzy’s Downtown, and at Harry & Izzy’s Indianapolis International Airport location. Of course, you can still get a slice at the Cobblestone Grill in Zionsville.

New Pie Clubs

My Sugar Pie has launched a Pie of the Month Club and Corporate Gift Program. Our 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month pie of the month plans are perfect for special personal and corporate gifts. We can customize the pie packaging to include corporate brands. Visit our website, www.mysugarpie.com for more details on these exciting new opportunities to enjoy our homemade pies.

With all of these new and exciting things going on during Spring, please remember to order your Easter pies! Also Mother’s Day is just around the corner! Speaking of Spring, our Spring Newsletter Pie Winner is April D. from Chicago.

November Newsletter

Friday, November 5th, 2010

This has been a really fun year for My Sugar Pie, and we are kicking off the big holiday season with our first television appearance. Watch for Kelly and her mom on the Indy Style segment on Wish TV, Channel 8, this Friday morning, November 5, at 9 am EST, or find it at http://www.wishtv.com/subindex/indy_style.  We’ll be making a pie live in the studio!

Our Sugar Cream pie also made Country Living Magazine’s online Top 10 list of best mail order pies in October.  They tasted over 45 pies from 16 nationwide pie companies. Check it out here: http://www.countryliving.com/cooking/about-food/best-mail-order-pies-1110

In April, we were featured in a full-page spread in the Taste Section of the Indianapolis Star, and a photo of our Coconut Cream pie made the front-page banner.

Lots more people know about us now, so make sure and order your holiday pies early.  We are taking orders right now.  If you would like to ship pies for corporate gifts, holiday celebrations, or just because, let us know.  Thanksgiving pie shipment orders need to be placed by Saturday, Nov. 13. Christmas pie shipment orders need to be placed by Saturday, Dec. 18.

Thanks to all of our regular Zionsville Farmer’s Market customers for a great summer!  You liked Dutch Apple, Blueberry, and Peach Pies the most. We’ll look forward to seeing you for our 4th year at the Market beginning in June 2011, but don’t be strangers this winter.

We have four new pies you might want to consider trying:  Lemon Meringue, Black Raspberry Lattice, Dutch Black Raspberry, and My Kentucky Pie (You can’t go wrong with bourbon, chocolate chips and pecans!).

Enjoy your holidays!

My Sugar Pie reviewed by The Wine Guy!

The Wine Guy at The Grapevine Cottage recently featured My Sugar Pie in his 500th email newsletter! The excerpt is below:

Farmers’ Market Report

A big plus was that Saturday was my birthday and if you can’t buy a Dutch apple pie on your birthday, when can you buy one.  Kelly at  My Sugar Pie had just one left and, wow, was it good.  She really should sell them by the pound though… it was so heavy I had to take it back to the truck before I finished shopping… it later weighed in at 7 pounds!

Happy Birthday, My Sugar Pie!

My Sugar Pie featured in the IBJ

Monday, May 25th, 2009

To keep things interesting for regulars, Cobblestone Grill offers different quiches, crème brulée and pies every day. The latter, on our visit, was a Dutch Apple so thick we thought we’d never arrive at the bottom crust (which turned out to be the best part). The journey there was a fun one. Hats off to its source, fellow Zionsvillian My Sugar Pie (www.mysugarpie.com).

Five things I love

Monica Brockmann, owner of O Cielo!, a Zionsville-based personal-chef service, knows good food- she began “cooking” in her Fisher-Price kitchen when she was only 2. Today, the Puerto Rico native runs her own culinary business and writes a popular blog, Finding New Flavors.

1. The Zionsville Farmers Market. I am a huge proponent of cooking seasonally, and every year look forward to the opening of this market during the first weekend of June. My favorites include fresh herbs and heirloom tomatoes from Laura at KGAcres and pies from Kelly at My Sugar Pie.
